New Zealand has a shocking rate of false and failed convictions leaving many, many innocent people in prison or struggling to get justice when they are nothing but innocent. New Zealand’s rate of return throughput in the courts after an appeal has been triggered is utterly shameful!
The cops in NZ are the chief problem. They set out to crush and destroy an accused, guilty or innocent and their families over allegations which often transpire to be false, leading to a forced admission or false conviction by cop. People are fighting back but it doesn’t help, as compensation is incredibly hard to qualify for after an innocent kiwi has proven they are, in fact, innocent.
