People in New Zealand are seriously worried about what’s going to befall them in 2023/24 as the much threatened recession and coupled super inflation hangs over the population, many of whom are hungry and homeless. $70k is just over $1000/week in a country where rent is an average of $550/week or $28,600 before any other costs!
